How Sun Life’s coverage works: 

To obtain reimbursement for medical cannabis, Sun Life plan members must follow the ACMPR process as well as obtain prior approval from Sun Life Financial.  see attached DOWNLOAD below.

Canada Life recognizes and respects the importance of privacy. Personal information collected is used for the purposes of
assessing eligibility for this drug and for administering the benefits plan. For more information on cannabis coverage see attached DOWNLOAD below

All claims must be received within 12 months of the date of service.  (unless otherwise stated in your benefit plan documentation). For more information see attached DOWNLOAD below.

Upon receipt, this request will be confidentially reviewed according to payment criteria developed by Blue Cross in consultation with independent healthcare consultants. In some cases, additional clinical and/or diagnostic information may be required in order to process your claim. See attached DOWNLOAD below.
