MEET YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Amy Thiele FRCPC
Dr. Amy trained at Dalhousie University for Medical School and University of Ottawa for her residency in Anesthesiology. She has worked serving patients for over 20 years in operating rooms focusing on acute pain management and peri-operative care. Dr Thiele is certified in chronic pain management, and practices in rheumatology, sleep medicine, concussion management, cannabis medicine, acupuncture and palliative care. She has a deep knowledge of many common and complex pain conditions and traditional, interventional and alternative approaches to pain. She prefers to help patients minimize medications when possible and seek out alternatives. Although she can and will do nerve blocks and injections in some instances it is not her go-to.
She's a fun blend of East coast charm and science nerd, and very caring and attentive with her patients. She will work collaboratively with your health care providers and empower and give you hope and realistic yet innovative options for your condition.
